thx optimizer 200hz-2-hz sub test tone what use is this

    r2 star wars phantom menace has thx optimizer part of (test) runs a 200hz-20hz through front speakers and sub, cannot see how this helps to configure speakers or sub, any advice plese on how to use or adjust thank you

    Its to see if you have a drop off in bass around your chosen cutoff frequency. If you have the cutoff set too low you´ll get a "gap" in the bass between your main speakers and when the sub takes over. Its also handy to see (hear!) how far low your systems bass extends.

    For proper calibration use either AVIA or Video Essentials test discs.
