Hi, I tried the THX audio setup that comes with the discs and
discovered that apparently one of my speakers was wired up
the wrong way round (front left as you look from the sofa).
This is discovered during the 'phase' test.

Now this would be fine except that the speaker was not wired
up the wrong way round ! This suggests that either the
speaker or the amplifier is wired up internally the wrong way round !
The other alternative is that the THX phase
    test is not correct..

Has anyone else tried the audio setup on their 5.1 receiver ?
Any similar issues ? I want to discount the DVD as being
the source of the error !

    Martin

martin is it the star wars DVD that you want to rule out, or the DVD player? why dont you try optimode from another disk (not one in the star wars set) any THX certified disk will have it on.

Have you tried replacing the speaker cable? have you tried connecting the other rear speaker to the "faulty" output to see if that behaves the same?
