    Best Place to buy from?

    Heres the trailer: http://www.thx1138movie.com/trailers/1/thx480dd3a.mov

From the trailer it looks absolutely fantastic. May well order from cdwow for £12.49. But there is no point preordering anthing from either cdwow or dvdsoon as the card gets charged as soon as purchase made :suicide:

Just checked dvdsoon and its not there yet, but is likely to be cheaper than cdwow. Mind you, the Goodfellas SE R1 can be had from cdwow for £10.49 :smoke:

This is indeed an excellent film and easily the best thing Lucas has ever done. Walter Murch's sound montages are a thing of beauty.

Tis a bit derivative in parts but nonetheless wonderful (in a 70s downbeat kinda way).

I've been waiting years for a dvd release of this and will be preordering soon: I just hope there's some half-decent extras. If not it won't be a disaster, i'm happy with a decent transfer of the film.

    regards,

Excellent Trailer. One where not too much of the film is given away. Unlike most modern films.
Interestingly did anyone notice some CGI scenes that have been added.
It look like George just cannot help tinkering with his old films.
hopefully they will not detract too much from the film as the original was made on a shoestring budget.
Might look kind of odd with full on CGI?! :zonked:

Just watched the trailer and from what I can tell from watching the version shown several times on terrestrial TV this new release appears to have extensive use of CGI. The city looks much more impressive in the trailer than I remember and many of the scenes with the 'Patrolmen' robots appear to be all new. It almost looks like a completely new version from what I can remember; I am not even sure if the leading actor is the same or a lookalike.

Watched the trailer...the cgi looks bobbins!!! Why can't Lucas leave well enough alone.

I wouldn't mind if (like Spielberg) he made the original, untinkered version available but nooooo.. we get cgi cumshots all over the place.

I will be hanging on to my WS Blue Dolphin vhs for a while yet....

    regards
