That rack's very smart. Did you get it custom made or DIY it?

Thanks guys, the pictures are just normal movie posters in Ikea frames. The Ikea frames cost about £25.00 each.

Yea, great job Thunder - very professional looking. As well as everything else, you've put a lot of effort into getting the sound right. Interested in the TMREQ you had done - presumably at the end of it they put eq in you'r speaker feeds - is this a software eq, or an analogue graphic equaliser ?
    Once again, great job.

TMREQ is done in the digital domain, inside the AV processor before the signal is sent out to the amplification. You use RTA software with a PC and a sound level meter to measure the frequency response of each speaker. You then use the EQ system within the processor (it has 8 filters per channel) to reduce or increase the output at the problem frequencies. It effectively irons out the frequency response of your speakers, giving you as close as possible to a flat distortion free response.

Very nice, cool set-up, well laid out, nice kit. How do you find the sound proofing on the floor, as I need some for the ceiling in my room (keeps the boss awake whilst I’m watching a film). Well done once again

Cheers, It works well for HF, but dosnt stand a chance against 30hz bass :) The concrete slabs I used worked far better for the LF.

Very nice, self-made racking, all looks very well done. How have you found the sound proofing on the floor? Because I'm looking to sound proof my ceiling and wondered were you got the sound proofing materials. Once again well done

Wow! Lots of nice stuff there. I wish I could integrate a SVS PB12Plus/2 or Ultra in my home, but sadly it's just too big. I hear it is supposed to be incredible.

Finally, another ATC active fan. Have stumbled across one or two other atc fans, but we seem to be a rare breed.

I suppose you're born with taste, you can't learn it.:D

Blimey. I have actually seen one of thosein the flesh and it is truely monstrous. Sounded wonderful though.

Once that goes in, you will want to get some 20s.

Post the pictures asap of that one.

Im really very impressed with the performance of the T16s and as they have the same drive units and amplification of the 20's, I dont really see the point in changing (other that asthetics) The c4ca on the other hand I think tends to sound a little "boxy" at times and having a centre with LF units that match the mains (as it does 60% of the work) would help open things up a little:)

    Definately.

I think the main difference is the ported design on the T16.

What the difference is in sound I don't know. But in their literature, ATC 'rank' as it were the T16 below the 20s.

But as you say, the C5A would be the better upgrade for now.
