I noticed that all the Thunderbirds DVDs were re-released on monday and it seems most places are selling the volumes at about £14 each with a Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer but amazon.co.uk seem to have got an exclusive boxset of 9 Discs for £48.97.

The boxset is a little more expensive than buying the 2 regular boxsets but it does contain an extra disc full of bonus material only available in this set so for the extra disc it is probaley worth the extra £3.03

I dont know about anyone else but seeing as when the original boxset was released it was about £100 this seems like a great buy.

Mine's just arrived. Looks great, but it's supposed to be a present for the kids so I'm not allowed to open it!

    Maybe I will!

    Cheers

Bought this for £90 years ago and it is a superb set, so it's even more of a bargain.

I think Virgin are doing a buy 1 get one free so it works out at £49.99 for the full series. (In stores. not sure about online.)

I noticed Virgin were doing Buy 1 Get 1 Free but there is no way to get the 9th Disc in the shops as Amazon.co.uk have it as an exclusive so if you want the extra disc looks like Amazon are your only choice, either that or find somewhere selling the original boxset for cheap.

Asda are doing (in the store) them for £5.99 each, or £15.99 for a 6 disk edition ?? on-line

That 6 Disc Boxset listed on Asda's website is a bit of a mystery as the only boxsets I know of are the 2 standards sets which contain Volumes 1-4 and Volumes 5-8 and of course the Amazon exclusive one, if anyone finds out what it is be sure to post letting us know.

Looks like this thread is abit out of date now as it seems Amazon.co.uk have raised the price from £48.97 to £54.97, just typical isnt it, I let people know about this offer but I dont actually order the set for myself and on the day I think about ordering it I notice the price has gone up lol

I've been toying with the idea of getting the set. £55 has made up my mind not to get it - it saved me £49 :)

Is amazon exclusive box set still available. I could only see a 9 disc box set at > £100 and the 2x4 disc sets.

The £109.99 set is the Amazon.co.uk Exclusive, originally it was only £48.97, then it went upto £54.97 and now it seems they have increased the price to £109.99, seems I really missed out on a bargain when I started this thread lol
