Thumbs Up for Sky Customer Service

    Strange I know and not often praised on this forum but thought I'd let you know about my latest experience with Sky.

    My v1 Sky+ box lost it's + features on Saturday (recording, pause, rewind etc.) - tried a full system reset at which point it wouldn't even come out of standby.

    Rang Sky (got straight through, no waiting) and was talked through a forced software download - this didn't sort the problem so they said they would get an engineer out on Tuesday (today).

    Had to go to work today so tentatively left my wife in command (with a list of what I'd tried). Engineer rang at 8:50 to say he was on his way and by 9:10 we had a fully working Sky+ box again (he just swapped boxes without trying to fix the old one).

    So, in this case at least, I have to say that the service was first class. :smashin:
