I will be buying a PJ very soon, possibly the new Panasonic AE900 when available, and I'm just trying to work out the image size I can achieve based on the size of the room and the lens on the AE700. My primary question is, is it OK to use the absolute minimum zoom on the lens? I read somewhere that this can impact quality. According to the manual for the AE700, it can project a 4'10 x 8'8 image at a throw distance of 12'1 if using the extreme wide end of the zoom, and this is the distance that I will have available across the room from the front of the PJ to the opposite wall. Is it ok to use the widest zoom setting or would I be better either settling for a smaller picture or looking for a PJ that can throw a larger image?
