    Hi,

Could anyone tell me the throw distance from the centre of the green tube to the centre of a 80 inch 16/9 screen for the svd 800 hd millenium with brand new tubes. Also is the AKB line visible at the top of the screen in 16/9 mode just like the svp 400 plus.

    Thanks Brian

The throw distance is 1.5-1.6 (distance/screen width) depending of the installation type. You can download the entire operational manual from www.curtpalme.com. The AKB line is not visible with this projector...I have spent 1300 tube-hours with mine and love it...

THE 800HD uses HD145 lenses as I understand.

the Tac4 type were about 1.4 throw ratio...

The HD145 as I understand are slightly less throw ratio...

    Guess at 1.3

So for a 6 foor WIDE screen PJ front of lens would be 6x1.3 feet...

The Manual has the full distance set.....

Test it on the floor first and get it right.....

You should always mount it with room to move it a bit.

Check on floor is the only way to be right......

    Check the manual.....

    Do you have the manual?

The manual does not state the throw distance from lens to screen centre which i think it should give a rough estimate. Also is there an additional bracket available that i could attatch the 800's bracket to so i would get the room to move it about a bit.

    Thanks Brian

..My distance is 310cm/210 cm screenwidth=1,48. My raster size is not optimal though (for safety reasons.. hehe). With an optimal raster size I guess I could move it closer but this would not fit my hushbox. The size of the picture also shifts with the resolution of my scaler iScan HD. 960P makes the picture bigger than 576P. The manual on page 17-19 gives You the information, I think..
