I really enjoyed it. It's a bit daft, but it still has much that I like.

All down to taste SOK. [IMG]

I'm dissapointed with you SOK, thought this film would be right up your street, poking fun at the American government and army, funny and good action? I thought it was class, real good entertainment.

I was disappointed too. I didn't think the mix of comedy/drama worked that well. Not a bad film though, just not something I'd buy on DVD, especially after the awful Warner Home Video/ Total DVD demo at Live 2000...

i'm gonna SOK it to yer mate. Three kings is a rare studio film that has it's roots firmly bedded in the independant movie mould. It's got action, great cast and it dosen't overplay its message too much.

It's worth it alone for Spike Jonze's flashback too his "day job"

Interesting comments folks. And Tee, I'm disappointed with you. So we don't agree on everything.

I will admit that it had the very occasional good moment, but I rented it after I had read countless reviews of it, and ALL of them gave it full marks and said that it was the best movie of the year. Its just sometimes you can have big expectations of a film and then you are disappointed when you actually see it. Other examples have been Scary Movie (pathetic), The Full Monty, Star Wars 1/4.

I have to admit that "Three Kings" is only a reasonable film, rather than a "great" film. Yes, the effects were clever, but the humour and the serious sections of the film didn't gel for me. It's as if the director wasn't sure which way to go.

However, this is only my opinion.

We have alot of refugees from the Middle East here in Tennessee. Every one of them I have talked to about this film loves it. I think this film has something to say, I like that. My Palestinian bud's appreciate it way more, me thinks. Cheers!

Could you all collectively post the storyboard for 3 Kings to this forum. It could go like this:

    PoochJd - Dialoge

Rachel - Subwoofer (just the occasional "whooooomph" or "Booooomm" whould do)

Sok - Rears (about +2db please, if you can, on the left (my sofa soaks up the sound))

Tee - L&R effects (don't forget cars going from left to right etc - you might want to collaborate with PoochJD to get the complete picture)

    PaulJ - coffe please

Thought it might save me £15.99 [IMG]
