Threads on DVD

I have just bought 'Threads' on DVD.

For anyone who has never heard of it, it was a docu/drama made by the BBC and aired sometime in the mid-eighties.

It covers the events leading up to, and 13 years following a nuclear strike on Sheffield and it scared the everlasting c**p outta me when I was a kid. I was amazed that it still had the power to effect me 15 years later!

Have any other forum members seen this film and if so, what are you views on it?

Great Film - What a shame about the terrible transfer and lack of extras

Theres a mass talk on this in the best horror thread.

Did you get it on ebay, genuine DVDs of this are going for stupid prices, so if you got it cheap its deffo a bootleg.

Just seen the prices for this on e bay - unbelievable.

Yes my copy is 100% original - just looked at it today and PQ doesn't seem as bad as I remembered. Just for comparison I pulled out the original BBC VHS and the dvd is slightly sharper and more detailed, but at the expsenes of grain.

Any chance you will be selling your VHS?

It might go on e Bay - as no one else seems to be selling the origianal 1987 BBC Video release that I have, the VHS version on e bay at the moment is the 2000 re release as per the DVD.
