I am a complete beginner, I have read both the LCD and Plasma thread over the past week and am getting more confused on what to buy. I was thinking of either Panny PV500 or Samsung 40in Plasma LE40R51BX.

Then I looked at Richer Sounds website and they suggest a complete system for just over 2k:

    43" Plasma Inc. Tuner
    Hitachi 42PD5200PRO
    TSP £2999.95 + Receiver
    Pioneer VSXD515
    TSP £289.95
    DVD Player
    Pioneer DV575
    TSP £149.95
    + 6 Speaker Package
    MS Premier Plus
    TSP £569.95

Anybody got any opinion on these? I presume the TV is not HD ready, I would have preferred this but I currently watch TV using Telewest so long time for them to transmit HD quality stuff.

The PD425200PRO is a 42" not 43", but anyway, it turns out it is the 5200H version so in theory, yes, it is HD ready. Do a search on the 5200H, as there has been no official answer on yes or no as far as i know, but it is supposed to be the HD ready version. God knows why RS call it a PRO though?!
