...but I was only watching Liverpool v Chelski on ITV!

I had to check I had my specs on. How poor was that coverage.

Said to the missus - "I'm becoming an HD snob".

Then I unchained her from the kitchen sink and she was exactly the same! Adverts were crystal clear though.

Thing is, its not even just the source pictures. Their graphics overlay was blurry as well. Thought I had glaucoma!

Can't wait to see their VOD take up. I'd only have it on my EPG for the CL!

Same here. GF commented that it was awful - and that takes something special for her to notice things like that.

itv has only been on my TV for the last 4 years for CL and major international football events.

It appears to be a Sky platform issue in particular - I don't think its as bad on freeview or Virgin (though Virgin or TW as was, got itv WC in HD IIRC as an added bonus)

Have to say it was pretty awful on Virgin as well last night, but the result made up for it.

ITV all about quantity over quality.

Normally thought ITV1 is okay and its only when they put games on ITV4 that it gets really bad.

    Word!

The bloody FA need reaming out with a pineapple for giving them some of the England and FA cup games, give me strength.

Leave it with Sky & the BBC they are both so much better at the job.

FA probably wont get paid for it anyhow, with the Irish mob (EPL) and ITV behind it

i couldnt believe how poor it was but to be honest after the first 5 minutes i forgot about it and continued to chew my nails!

they really should consider an overhall of their sport though. not just the pictures either, the whole commentary team are crap and as for david pleat... god give me strenght!

    ITV picture quality = rubbish
ITV commentary (Clive Tyldesley / David Pleat) = shocking
ITV studio (Robbie Earle / Andy Townshend) = woeful

all round ITV are very, very poor - they need a huge change before they get hold of the Premiership coverage the season after next.
