    Thanks for that, I was just about to ask the same thing.

    Don't suppose anyone can tell me the pinout though could they? I have searched the web to no avail.

    What I would like to do is build a Y cable with one stereo socket to two mono plugs. After more than one flight where I've had to stretch and squeeze the two mono prongs to try to get left and right working at the same time, I imagine it'd be much easier to ensure good contacts if the two mono plugs were independent from each other.
