Yeah, go and get a Belkin one for £15 and buy some DVD's with the change :)

Look back through the previous postings re the benefits (or otherwise) of expensive cables.

I've used the metal bodied one and the cheaper plastic bodied one and found them both excellent in terms of build quality and performance. Given the law of diminishing returns on cables, and the inherent limitations of the SCART connector, it would take a lot to convince me that it's worth spending any more.

It isn't worth using a cable like the Hitachi or Thor with Freeview. They are worth it when using a decent DVD player and TV/display device.

I only use a £4.99 cable with my Freeview. It is still OFC etc like more expensive cables.

Good QED Sqart RGB only one is the best I have found for dvd. Was an improvement over the Thor cable I had. The thor was still a good cable though.

I've got a Cambridge Audio Premium Scart, a Thor from Play.com and a Monster Scart 1.

One of these goes from my Joytech scart switch box to the TV, one from the DVD player to the switch box and the other from the Sky box to the switch.

Obviously my switch box -> TV needs to be the highest quality lead since everything will travel down it. Any ideas on which of my 3 leads this would be?

Next best lead would be for the DVD -> scart box so it gets the best overall path to the TV with the Sky -> scart box being the least important (in terms of my viewing priorities anyway)

Anyone care / date to attempt to put those 3 Scart cables in order of quality? Or do you think they will all be about even?
