Thor SCART + JS Tech RGBtoYUV box = Electric Shock!

Well-known Member
My Sky+ box messed up so I had to yank all the connections out, as soon as the Thor Scart cable had come out of the back of the box I got an electric shock off it.

The JS Tech box is powered obviously but this is the first time a SCART lead has ever given me a shock before (Though I've had minor ones from RCA cables)

The point of this thread? No idea. Is this supposed to happen though?

Hello Garry

Any time your planning to disconnect a cable you want to ensure that whatever is plugged into the other end has been switched off at the mains BEFORE you make the disconnection - if there was no electrical signal being powered down the SCART cable you wouldn't see a picture or hear sounds.

Best regards
