has anyone have any views or reviews on the thor s- video/scart lead
good or bad
I use the Philex Thor scart lead. Nicely made - construction that belies the price point - but performance is very average IMHO.
When compared to my other scart cable (£25 Ixos - can't remember the serial) the Ixos wins. Easy to test, assuming your dvdp has two rgb scart outs, and your tv has two rgb scart inputs!
I'd give it a miss, mate.
Hmm really? might have to rethink my scart purchase then.....was looking at Ixos but thought i might save myself a few quid.
The Thor is definitely a good one although the plugs are very heavy and bulky which may be a problem. Don't overlook the standard Philex "Home Cinema" Scarts which I've found for less that £7 and had similar build quality and performance.
There are quite a few people who have bought Thor scart leads and been very pleased with them. Try using the forum search facility as they make a worthwhile read.
I Changed from Ixos to Thor (at a quarter of the price) and am delighted with them. Go buy them.
