Just bought this cable. It's classified as a 3 phono to 3 phono but is in actual fact fully specified to min 75ohms and fully shielded.

This is real quality & will do component with a breeze.

THOR Professional Reference AV Interconnect at £20 inc postage for a 3m version.

I ordered mine Friday morning and I got it Saturday morning. Well impressed.:D

Are you sure their 3_Phono_to_3_Phono lead can give out a decent component video picture?

I've just been to their website and it clearly states:

"I know that composite and component cables look very similar. Don't be fooled, they are not the same! "

Composite and component cables are IDENTICAL, you just need more of them for component (3 for YUV)

Just look out one 75 ohm abd two non 75 ohms (L and R) as a simialr looking cable

if you need longer, there is a 5m ixos available for around the same price.

similar to the one above, it looks like a composite video with audio cables on the ixos website but then describes its shielding and 75ohm spec.

also explicitly described as a 3 Phono to 3 Phono Component Video Cable here.

    £16.95 + £6 delivery for a 5m component cable.

    not a bad price.

never heard of such a thing for component video - why not just buy the correct length?

Erpland - how long do you need?

for bigger runs, someone like the media factory will be cheaper, approx £50-60 for a 5 or 10m run.

I wanted to run a cable from a US Gamecube to a projector in the future, the Gamecube cable wont be long enough to go up the wall and to the ceiling. I guess I can use some female joiners but was worried about signal loss.
Wont be trying it for months though until the room is finished.
