Hello all I am a new Boy to the Forum. Is there anyone out there had a problem getting a Thomson 27" LCD TV repaired, I live in East Sussex and there does not seem to be many TV Engineers I can find to repair my set, I have found 2 and the lowest quote I have been given is £420.00. The TV is fitteen months old and the fault is no Display. I am contemplating buying a new one. I have been told by one Engineer that these LCDs are not very reliable. I would be very interested if anyone has experienced a similar problem and how they resolved it.

Is there any display whatsoever, or does the whole LCD panel not show a picture? In other words do you get the light behind the screen coming on but just black on screen, or does the whole thing just act as if you've never turned it on?
