Thomson 27LB011S4 - Some Advice Please

I'm returning my current LCD as it's a bit crap to be honest (Digix 20in) and it's giving me some bother (won't turn off, stuck pixel irritating me), and I'm going to upgrade to a widescreen model with the Xbox 360 coming out.

Now, I'm looking at the Thomson 27LB011S4. My main concern is the resolution that the SVGA runs at. I've my laptop to be connected as well and the Digix only runs at 640 x 480 VGA/800 x 600 S-Video, and I'm really looking for something more like 1024 x 768, or at least 800 x 600, which is the minimum I am willing to accept.

Any details on how high the res can go (I've looked but can't find anything and Currys/Dixons are no help) for SVGA, and if I should get it really. Thanks!

I'm being told it doesn't have DVI and that's something I should be looking for. I'll keep in it mind.

To be honest, all I want is a LCD that has component (for the 360) and can have PCs at a res of 1024 x 768. I was just told DVI is something I should look for also if I can get it.
