    Hi,

I'm new here and I'm thinking about ordering the following system:

Panasonic TH42PW7 (comes with scart terminal board)
    Denon DVD-2910
    Denon AVP-1905
    Mission FS1 Speaker Package

Does anyone have any suggestions or other recommendations? I think I have picked some decent components there but I don't know a great deal about Home Cinema so any help or advice would be most welcome!

    Thanks in advance.

mission spoeakers are crappy and weak look at canton CD1 much better.....
Why the denon 2910? the 2900 or Arcam DV89 would be my preferance....
Panny scart is the worst board to have get a component board and see www.av-sales.com they let you choose the input board dont just sell the one with a scart in the box....

    I owned the Mission FS2-AVs.

I preferred the sound out of my 32" Philips CRT, so enough said I think.

    You can get one here:
    http://www.plasmaware.co.uk/index.p...=PAN&pid=3A3D6B8C-CDF4-43FD-A205-EFCB0EE2FA7C

Either get the component board or the combined component/svhs/composite board. You'll probably need about 4 BNC to RCA adapters too.

the 2910 is a DVi/HDMI player (spending loads on a connection you wont use) go for a top analogue player 2900/DV89........ and use component... get the dual slot board (more flexible) and forget the adapters get a decent RCA-BNC cable mate........

What will you use for TV? Sky???

for Sky USE aJS RGB>VGA or if you want to use amp to switch video then use JS RGB>YUV and feed it all into the Component input on AMP......and on to board in screen use component inputs on AMP (best functionality) and it has 3 which is rare so if you have aXbox/PS2 use 3rd component for that

In defence of the Mission FS1.

I've had the 5.1 version now for about two years.

If you intend to watch films, then this system will make you smile, as the sound reproduction is amazing but not perfect, but I'll come on to that.

The small but stylish surround speakers absolutely fill my living room with sound, with very clear reproduction of even the mist difficult speech and effects. An example is tree-beard from LOTR.

The subwoofer provides more than adequate bass for it's 100watts and looks extremely sexy.

My only criticsm for films, is that due to the NXT technology, the highs are not quite as crisp as I would want (fussy), and the mid range lacks punch. Believe me you won't really notice it unless you are a bit of a hi-fi nut and take a bit of effort to listen for it.

Generally for movies. V. Good. Wife friendly.

If you intend to use this for music, prepare to be a little bit disappointed. It does give a clear reproduction, and the sub provides loads of bass, however, due to the nxt technology, the lack of mid range and crispy highs really can be noticed. It ain't bad, but it ain't brilliant.

    Generally for music. Average

Hope this is helpful to you.
