    £159 for period 28/01 - 28/02 for gas 224kw used

We have the setting on 18 and the heating comes on if it dips below this which it generally does as where its located the thermostat is about 17c

I'm staggered its a 3 bed semi the boiler is on the way out but it shouldn't cause such a high bill for a month period?

the estimated meter reading is out but its less than the reading now

Did you have a higher-than-expected reading recently, so this bill is compensating for previous underpayments?

Seems high. My combined monthly gas and electric with eon is about what you have been charged (4 bed detached with an ancient boiler).
Although if I had the heating and hot water on an extortionate amount of time I could easily rack up £160 a month just on gas.

The heating as mentioned is set to 18 and it does come on regular due to the thermostat where it is average temp is 15c in kitchen.

Coming from a two bed apartment our bill was £22 monthly tarrif for gas I know it's a lot different now in a big old house but I'm speechless it can be so high!
