I currently use my Sony 900 as a DVD player and CD/SACD player. The problem with this is that If I hook it up to the TV with Scart it dominates the TV and is always changing it to that input.

Looking at using it just for music and getting a dedicated DVD player so I thought I might look into a Freeview DVD/HD with HDMI like the Panasonic EX75. We already have a freeview telly so it would be used largely as a PVR to schedule recordings during the day.

My question is this. If I hook the recorder up to the TV with HDMI and it starts a scheduled recording while I'm watching TV (with the TV's tuner), will it switch the TV to the HDMI input? I'm assuming it will as it will be coming out of standby.
