Thinking of getting 2nd sky+ box or a different type of recorder. Views please?

I think 2 Sky+ boxes would be great for all recording needs.

arent they meant to be upgrading the software immanently so that you can record two channels at once with Sky+

would you really want to record 3 different programmes at once (or at leat record two and watch a third)!!!

if the answer is yes for any reason then walk to the window (the rectangular shaped thing in your room that isnt a TV or Door) look out of it at the sun (that funny round yellow thing that is really bright to look at) and think about how nice it might be to go outside once in a while... :D

    regards

No-get a Panasonic HS2 if you want a second HDD device.Dual recording should sort out clashing Sky problems, but with an HS2 you can record from your Sky+,then edit, partially erase, title and copy to DVDR for archiving. It has not got Sky's user friendly EPG but with that and Sky+ you really should have all your needs covered.£599 at the moment too

Watch very little live TV except sport. 4/5 adults in the house.
Yes Sky+ will be able to record two thing at once, cant wait. But if you do not want to watch a recording but another Sky only channel live (footie) we then use (my son adopted it) our mirror sub, cool. If you then turn mirror sub into Sky+ 2nd sub you have it completely covered.

The HD2 although a very good piece of kit it is still over priced and its like will be sub £300 before to long. Not an achiver phelings.
I love sport and dont like others to miss out because of it. They dont like VCR quality now here, they have all been spoilt by SKy+.

Live telly is a none starter except maybe for the soaps after dinner but they are all sky+'s incase we are doing other things.
