    Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a AVR300, but i'd like to know will it match my speakers?

    Front left & Right-B&W 603 S3
    Cen- B&W LCR 600 S3
    Rear L & R & Cen- B&W 600 S3
    Sub B&W ASW 600

The use would be 70% music 30% DVD

    Thanks for any help

    Yes it will be fine.

I've had 602s and 7NTs with an FMJ A22 and it sounded darn good. Your 603s should be fine.

If you are only 5.1 it would be nice to use the other two channels to bi-amp which will probably help the sound out as well.

EDIT: DOH!! You say 6.1 so bi-amping is out of the question, but as an experiment it might be worth trying 5.1 and bi-amping the fronts. As you are more intersted in music than the DVD side of things.

Agree! I previously had Arcam 8r/8p Bi-amped into 603s and the sound was IMO excellent. As stated above B&W and Arcam work very well together, and bi-amping the 603s does make a big difference if you can live with only 5.1 or else get another Arcam amp to do it.

Have B&W/Arcam combo - sounds fantastic, added a P90/3, which has taken system to a new level. With the AVR300, you can use the two extra channels to bi amp the fronts - although it depends on what type of music you listen to, I doubt you'll be disappionted.

I have 603s and silver and they're good for bringing out detail. I'm partnering with A90 but 300 is fine. The 603s are a bit boomy for my liking so look anything that controls the bass.

Has anyone tried this amplifier with CM4, CM2 & CMC ?
My amplifier is not powerful enough and I need to upgrade my dvd player/AV amplifier.
    Thanks for the info!
