    Guys,

Am considering changing my slightly tiny 50" plasma for something bigger!

    Looking at the Themescene RD65.

Is the best option for the truly massive?

Does anyone own one and care to comment?

Where is the best price to get such a thing?

    Thanks all!!

I have one, I bagged it for £3800. Look at my sig for pics.

A very good set but beware it doesnt do NTSC/60hz although you can get around this with a scaller or pc.

Does it actually rock as much as it does in my head?

What is the 60Hz thing mean?

In the uK we use a PAL system ie 50Hz 50 frequencies per second.
In the US they use NTSC ie 60Hz 60 frenquencies per second.

The RD65 cant display 60hz without juddering (picture jerks every second or so), however if you use a pc and powerstrip and play your US region 1 dvd's on this the problem disapears. The same with a processor/scaller. What they are doing is converting the 60hz to 50hz signal which the RD65 will accept.

The picture is mind blowing and I peronally havent seen any better to date. The size will blow you away. Its 5 foot wide. :D

At 65' yes, you can get the smaller Sagem at 56' but there is a 33% size difference in screen area between 65' -56'. There is also a Thompson 61' the review for this set is at the top of the DLP rear pro section. Apperently it suffers with DLP artifacts and off axis viewing. But I havent seen this set in action, It is a re-badged infocus thin tv from the US.

I can't even find the Thomson one for sale anywhere.

The Sagem 56 Is a Good Set.

It's getting better and better as according to Razor there is a 100 hour Burn Off Time.

Wouldnt be a lot of point changing for a 56" set. 6" isnt really enough to impress anyone!!

    15" however...............................
