Thin Budget Floorstanders ?

I've seen in Currys and Comet etc Home Theatre bundles including a blu-ray player for around £300 which also includes a 5.1 speaker set.

Now in the set are black thin Floorstanding speakers which would be ideal. They don't sell these separate though.

I'm no audiophile and just want two rear thin floorstanding speakers that won't bankrupt me. Can anyone recommend me any.

Looking to spend around £150 on rear speakers.

I may be thinking of Column speakers.

These aren't the only options, but it depends on how much you have to spend and the level of performance you expect. I suspect these speaker will noticeably outperform the speakers that come bundled in a £300 DVD/Amp/Speaker package.

Whilst Comet as a retailer do not currently sell any speaker separates, you can find these readily available in high street hi-fi and home cinema specialist stores.

My name’s Matt an I’m from Comet.

After checking the specifications of these particular speakers, there is no reason why they cannot be used as rear speakers.

However in order to successfully connect these to a cinema system, you would need to ensure that you have the appropriate type of connections on your amplifier prior to making the purchase.
