I've moved into a new house with a Sky dish installed already outside, so am I able to get any basic free to view Sky packages if I buy a receiver?

Or do i have to pay something for the base pack....

You will obviously need the box and to buy a sky freeview card for £20., thats it really.

    Hi Stevie,

Click on this website as they are Sky agents and give you the low down on costs. It is probably best to go for the £150 package deal as this is subsidised and open to anyone, even if they subscribe to Sky. This gives the installation and a free card with it. It is much cheaper this way. The receiver alone, I think, is around £200. I know you already have the dish but they may change this.

When it comes to choosing a receiver, the Pace V2 (sometimes referred to as 3000) is the one to buy. That is the general view of our members. Happy viewing!

If you can get hold of a receiver from ebay and the seller is giving away his/her old sky card with it, there's a chance that you will get the freeview channels off it and save yourself £20. Worked for me.
