When I use the zoom function on my DVD player in normal playback mode [not still picture], the characters on screen ocasionally jerk.

So, is this normal when running a DVD in the zoom mode?

    Thanks.

I have seen it happen on cheap DVD players.

Not surprising - it is having to zoom a moving picture
