I've just set up my Themescene H56 projector using the advice given on the calibration sticky.

I'm projecting onto a 6 foot wide Stewart FireHawk screen. My DVD player is a Denon 2900 and I'm connecting through component cables, prog scan.

The Brightness & Contrast adjustments go from -50 to +50 (mid point is 0).

Anyway, if I set it up using the DVE PAL disc, as per the instructions in the sticky thread on calibration at the top of this forum, I find that the Brightness is set to -6 (minus 6), whilst the Contrast is set to +50. Yes that's right, PLUS FIFTY, or in other words, absolute maximum.

    Can this possibly be correct?

I checked it using both methods suggested, and got the same results both times.

The test montage (Title 17 - Chapter 2) looks okay, but I've not had chance to really sitthrough a few films with it.

Does anyone else think that that'sd odd, or is it just me?

Anyone here from ThemeScene want to comment (or drop me an email/PM)?
