Problems with TheaterTek and RPC1 DVD drive

I have recently got round to updating the DVD rom on my laptop to RPC1 but since doing this my TheaterTek DVD player no longer starts playing the disk. You can load the software but when you press play nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this.

The DVD seems to function OK in terms of opening files on CD's and DVD's.

    Laptop is IBM A31p

No idea off the top of my head. Have you got another player to try, maybe an evaluation copy of PowerDVD or WinDVD? Sounds like TT just isn't 'seeing' a DVD in the drive, with PDVD for instance you can click a button and select from available drives, that let's you see what PDVD thinks is in the drive.

I have just solved the problem, it was just that I had not patched the player correctly. Once it was patched it just started working fine.
