I had a look on eBay for The X-Files Boxsets and most seem to be Asian releases which I am not sure are legit releases or bootlegs but they are quite cheap but would prefer to get the Region 2 releases so if anyone has seem them for a good price, please let me know.

Yeah amazon has them the cheapest but what does it mean in plastic cases? Not in conventional cardboard casing I presume. Anyone else know??

I bought some of these from Amazon. The case is a fold-out case with the 6 CD's held in by plastic holders and cardboard on the outside. Quite nice.

Currently I have the first 5 seasons of The X-Files - they are all in gatefold packaging. The ones which Amazon are advertising for release in June appear to be 6 discs contained in 3 Amaray cases which are then stored in a cardboard outer.

FYI - an Amaray case is the standard plastic case most DVDs come in.

    Hope this helps

Had a look on there, seems they are available for pre-order at about £30 per set which isnt bad but they do charge extra for shipping which brings the price upto about £36

Have you also accounted for the GST being removed?

Just went through the steps to order the Season 1 Boxset and it came to £33.33 which is a great price for the sets, think I will order the first set then see how it is before I order the rest.

I emailed DVDCrave about the boxsets available for pre-order and asked if they would be any different to the current releases as I thought they might be the same as the sets Amazon are getting in June and they said...

No they are the same as the last lot we had in. Fox do this special approx every 6 months.

Wish Fox did a special over here where they reduced the price from £70 to £30 as im sure they would get alot more sells lol
