Ill wait for amazon to put this up,

I like playing their pre order price game...to see how much it drops in the months/weeks/days before release
Definite buy for me. I still haven't seen the film but a Scorsese blind-buy is safe enough I reckon.
Me too, people are comparing it to some of his best work like Goodfellas, etc. Spoke to a guy in work today and he said about 1 and a half hours of the film are taken up with sex and drugs so it sounds like it's gonna be a controversial movie - not one to watch with the parents/kids/Squeamish girlfriend.

The DVD/Blu-ray release is getting Scorsese's original 4 hour cut instead of the 3 hour theatrical cut so that means even more of the above!
Just edited my post, didn't come out right, didn't mean instead of.
Rapta, it will contain both cuts
Better than Goodfellas?!!! Really? I havent seen Wolf yet but I will be very shocked if it gets close. Hope my expectations are not getting too high..I hope it has both cuts. Whilst I'd like to see the 4 hour cut I'd like the option...then again I won't complain as I really didn't feel the film dragged. It used the time well in my opinion. I even preferred the film to Goodfellas which people often quote as Scorsese's best (in my opinion Raging Bull and Taxi Driver are far superior).
I'll be pre-ordering as soon as Amazon put it up definitely. You can see the inside artwork if you click on the Zavvi link btw - completely concreted my purchase with that icing on the cake. Reckon it'll be £19.99 from Zavvi, but will go with Amazon because they're likely to have a price-drop to around £18 (did a bit of research to see how recent Universal steels had dropped in price before release...most of them went to £18). This film's worth that price tag I reckon (and that also happens to be my personal price limit for a single film).
people complaining about sex and drugs in movies!!? those are a few of my favourite things...Me too, people are comparing it to some of his best work like Goodfellas, etc. Spoke to a guy in work today and he said about 1 and a half hours of the film are taken up with sex and drugs so it sounds like it's gonna be a controversial movie - not one to watch with the parents/kids/Squeamish girlfriend.
