The Arcam AVR100, this receiver is pure class. It has very few features, just great sound. Actually it is exactly what I have been looking for ie great 2ch stereo and DD/DTS that isn't over cooked by DSP. I thought I was going to have to spend about £3000 to get what I wanted, instead it only cost £720. Well it might still cost a bit more because like my speakers it supports bi-amping so I might just have to spend another £500 on a P85 power amp. The 3801 is a nice toy, but I decided to go for a real amp this time.

It's not actually an amp, it's a receiver!

If you wanted to spend upto £3k for one you could have gone for the Arcam FMJ system.

    I'd go for bi-amping also!
