Finally the UK get to see this on Monday 10th at 5:15pm BBC2 with William Shatner and LeVar Burton.
Cheers... I hope I dont forget now
I never watch it normaly but I saw it advertize and was going to post it but forgot, good job Paul did. For those who did not see it the winner was LeVar Burton, who just piped Robert Picardo at the post. William Shatner was the second off and at the end of the previous round went over to Anne Robinson, and got in to one of his famous smooching clinches but could not defrost the ice maiden.
do you know if they intend repeating this on BBC Choice ? - i missed it tonight :-(
I dont know but they generally repeat the good ones.
I thought it was quite funny at the beginning, it then tapered of to a tick over.
I must say I have never heard of any of the Charitys they mentioned
Doctors without Borders, Armin Shimmerman's charity is pretty famous in other countries.
Incidentaly Armin Shimmerman should have won as he was also in Buffy.....
Q was the first to go, so much for omnipotence.
I thought William Shatner was the funniest, and Roxann Dawson remarks about Wil Wheaton a bit petty after all he was complementing her and it was all said in fun.
Deansimm, I have just had a search for you, and cannot find anything, could be because there is a lot of football and tennis on.
did you see the v-back on Roxann? Puts arnie to shame!
I remarked to 'er indoors that I bet when Armin went for the Quark audition they just looked at his ears and said "no makeup!"
I thought Wil (with one L) is still an @rse (with one @)
As for Denise Crosby. Nothing like clinging onto a role she didn't like and was glad to see the back off. Until it became popular that is!
I still can't get used to seeing LeVar Burton eyes. Spooky, like watching the last nex gen episode All Good Things when he was in the future and you got to see his eyes properly.
I thought John DeLancie should have stayed in longer, I suspect there would have been a lot of humour if he had.
Armin came out with a classic though. When Anne asked "Why Bill", he retorts "because the rest are my friends". Ha Ha. Probably why no other TOS cast appeared. They alledgedly can't stand him either, although Jimmy Doohan is more vocal about his disdain than the others. George Takie was very tactfull when pushed.
I spotted that when he was back lit.
You are right despite of what I put above, I have to agree with you again.
I was glad to see the back of her character, she seemed out of place somehow in S.T.N.G. that is.
It was all good fun though, apart from sourpuss.
Agree with you I do young Skywalker. Indeed I thought Ms Torres was a bit off about her remarks about Crusher Jr. he was just trying to be funny. bit like him trying to be an actor
Armin was in another Sci-Fi program a while back - can't remember which one, not Star Trek et al.
My wife doesn't watch ST in any guise, and shy's away from most Sci-fI
Anyway, she was watching this episode of what ever it was and this alien walked on and spoke. She remarks "that's Quark"
not bad for somebody who doesn't watch it.
He was in Buffy for quite a few episodes as Principal Snyder and in an episode of Stargate (The Nox).
He was in Buffy for two and a half seasons.....
It was the Nox episodes I think, she does watch the odd episode of that when she can't find anything else to do.
