Is NFS working on this player when trying to use network connected NAS and not USB connected drives?
Spent all last night trying to get Network connected PC with USB drives attached to the PC working with no joy using Ubuntu 20.04 desktop OS on the PC.

Has anyone got this working with same route I’m trying above?
If not, what’s best way to get a working solution over network?

Thanks

How do you add movies from a network share into the favourites section please? If movies are on NFS share on a NAS drive.
Favorites doesnt come up as an option over Network shares. You can only add to a favories for mkv files attatched via USB port/ locally. Im on MacOS High Sierra and I use NFS Manager. Works great.

Ah, so there is no way to add favourites for any movie backup stored on a NAS drive? Just checked out NFS Manager for MacOS and it seems to just be to handle NFS shares on the Mac, or is there some way to use this for achieving what I want?

you can only if you premount your nfs shares with Autoscript in /mnt/sda1/xxx . However autoscript is disabled on latest version, You have to wait a bit for a new firmware version that reenable it.

try this line in your export file (on one line):

/path/nfs/share 192.168.xxx.xxx/24(rw,nohide,all_squash,insecure,no_subtree_check,anonuid=1000,anongid=1000)

your main use id must be 1000 .

Try from another linux if you see the share with showmount -e.

through the RU JB you can use Autoscript, so it is possible to show the player that the network resources are USB sources

This looks perfect. But this RU JB is not yet for the current firmware as above, is that correct?

I am on: 20XCN-65-0131 / TF0032 8577 0032 / MCU203-00-0101

Chip version: 0C:00.01.00

there are 2 version of the firmware a free one 20XCN-65-0131 and a paid one 20XRU-65-0131.

The only difference so far is that the free one has AutoScript disabled. However there will be a release of a new version around July (max August) with AutoScript enabled. In the meantime if you cant wait the only solution is to buy the paid version.

I use Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with ZFS array.
No problems.
Edit /etc/export
/home/user/directory/ 192.168.1.0/24(ro,sync,no_subtree_check)
I had to specify each individual directory I wanted to share, if I only exported the main directory , no content would show.
sudo exportfs -a
Make sure the directory you are exporting is not root owner root group as well

Ah! And the paid version is safe to flash onto the box I have? Don't mind paying, where would I find this please?
