Looks very nice supporting Dothan but not HDMI as far as I can tell. Component on board would result in a neat solution though.

    EDIT:

This is the one thing I've been waiting for - component built into the mobo.

I wonder how long it will take AMD to push for mobo makers to come up with one for them ?

Guys, I would love to be proved wrong but I think the review is incorrect.

No version of this board will have an HDMI connector.

The connector which is missing on the US version is the 'D' connector, commonly used in Japan. Looks a bit like a HDMI socket but is most definitely analogue.

Like I say, I'd love to be wrong.......but I'm not.

There's no mention of HDMI on the manufacturers website so I tend to agree with your conclusion. The review is off, Japan's D connector it is. Shame, although component out or DVI-I should satisfy most.

I wonder if there will be a limitation on playing HD-DVDs on PC. I know it's early to speculate but do they expect HD-DVDs (Blue Ray inc) commerical discs to be playable on PC? I heard that the future would consist of HDMI (with HDCP) all round meaning new graphic cards and new monitors required?

Unless you just wait for some clever hackers to get around the HDCP protection which will happen then PC owners can enjoy HD DVD etc, just not 100% legal :)
