I was tidying up some old papers today and stumbled upon "The Ultimate Guide to TVs", a 20-page Comet catalogue dating back to 2005. It's amazing how technology has moved on in just 16 years!
You too could have bought a Philips 1366x768 pixel 32" widescreen LCD TV with DVD Recorder for just £1199 (More than £1800 today, after adjusting for inflation).
How about a Hitachi 42" 1080p (Wow, HD!) Plasma TV for £1999 (More than £3000 in today's money).
Or, if your budget is tight, you can get an LG 26" 1366x768 LCD model for 'just' £749 (More than £1100 today).
Anyway, I'm off to read the stuff about HDTV, S-Video and SCART...
