    It seems most people here still believe the quoted contrast ratio boasted by the manufactures:eek: . Well, I though I might post this to help people to get better understanding of the truth behind contrast ratio:lesson: .


    Yes, it's long (4 pages) and yes, it was taken from my guide but its well worth the read.

    Yeah, good work. :)

    I always refer people to this guide when they ask about how low or high the contrast ratio for a particular set is...

    You know just to confuse their LCD TV choice even further ;) :D

    So far it has been simple: "What is the resolution?" , "how much the contrast?" , "ok i 'm buying it"...:rotfl:

    Forget to put it in my guide lol

    Quality LCDs are known to have more static contrast ratio then plasma/projection
