Nice review Cas. I'd missed out that it had The Time Travelers on it as an extra. That will make this a must buy. Is that in HD too?

You're too generous, Cas, this hasn't aged well at all.

The design of the Time Tunnel itself is pretty iconic, but the show itself deserves your score of 6, maybe less.

It was ambitious, but the stories are horribly laboured and repetitive and it's overpriced at £35.

I believe so; I'll have another look when I get the chance.

      Thanks,
      Cas

Have you seen The Time Travelers Derek? I saw it when it first came in the cinema and i thought it was great. I haven't seen it in a very long time and it may not have aged very well but it's one I'd love to see again. I'll get the set for that alone and I'd regard Time Tunnel as a good extra.

      No, just the TV series.

I'll use you as my guinea pig, Brian, you can spend the money and then tell me whether it was worth it or not!;)

I've entered the competition. I'll wait to see if I win it first (as if). If not I'll start looking round at the prices.

I can't say I saw it when it came out but saw it when it came to my local fleapit on there Mon/Tuse Horror Sci-fi nights. I too thought it also was great and watching it on one of the sat more recently(well well over 10 years ago) but looking at the trailer again it looks a bit corny but has a nice twist although definitely a B film but I definitely need to get in my collection.

According to wiki it was released late in 1964. It probably wouldn't have reached my fleaspit until sometime during the following year and I'd have still been very young at that point. There is a possibility that I may have seen it a bit latter on some form of rerelease but it wouldn't be too long afterwards.

Picture quality is very good in tt bluray. The close ups look especially good with stunning facial details.
Overall its a brilliant package and is highly recommended

I own this on DVD and have watched it over and over again.
the Remastered version sounds good but I already own the Limited Edition
with the Extras that were mentioned in the New one for Zone 2 UK.
I thought it was a good series , but sad that there wasn't anymore made.
Maybe one day there will be a new Series with a good strong story line.

I watched this as a boy way back in the early 70s. It was said to be Irwin Allen's favourite series. It was cancelled due to the costs. Production values were very high (for the time) Sadly they never finished the story off and it had a cop out ending (just like quantum leap.
The bluray set does have a pilot for a new series early 2000. I'm not sure if it was ever aired
