The Thing (R2) now anamorphic ?

I'm a little confused at the moment. While browsing UK DVD sites I noticed that "The Thing" was apparently re-released on September 2003 and is listed as anamorphic ! Is this actually correct ? Has anyone actually bought/seen this version ? There is no review on the Total DVD site for the 2003 release, only the DVD specs.

nope, its not anamorphic - they've just re-released it so the new DVD cover matchs that of the game based on the film.

The non-ananmorphic transfer is very good though....
