Anyone else got any opinions on this? Got it today as I loved Skinner's first album but I'm not sure what to make of the new one. All the 'music' seems like he picked random notes and plonked them down without any thought.

Didn't like it at first but a week or so later, I think it beats the original....trust me, it'll grow on you...a lot of people have said the same.

Is Dry Your Eyes the one Chris Martin was going to guest vocal on? What happened to that then? I like the track as is but it could have been so much more (albeit not very Streets-like) with CM on vocals IMHO.

Okay,I'll probably get slated for this but here goes............If I sat down to listen to some music and some annoying git came along and talked all over it I'd be really p:censored:d off!I know we all have our own opinions and trust me,I do have respect for other peoples, but what on earth is the deal with this guy? It's not even rap(which I also don't like),it goes way beyond that in the annals of drivelling b:censored:s.As I say,I know I'm gonna get slated, but I hate this moron with a passion

I've got the first album which i really liked so think i will also give this one a try. I have heard about three songs from the new album and they all sound pretty good.

I hated his first single, it made me think of vauxhall novas on 3 spoke wheels for some reason

The new album with the story continuing from track to track and the clubbing refferences really works for me.
I think people will either love it or hate it.

Doesn't matter anyway though does it? it's not as if your going to be forced to listen to it is it, unless you want a lift in my car.:D ;)

    Cheers, Mylo:thumbsup:

This album is class. Story works really well, I couldn't help but smile when he found the £1000 in the last song (is that a spoiler?? Do you even get spoilers in music threads?)

Mike Skinner is a modern day Shakespeare!

(Okay, I've got a bit over excited now)

    :hiya:

Mylo, the thing is I am forced to listen to it(the singles at least),because I'm what you call a "captive audience".That's if I want to make a living that is,due to the fact I'm surrounded by morons at work that insist on listening to Radio 1.Still,that's my problem and as I say,you lot are entitled to your opinion's.
