Top song. Won quite a few awards at the CMA a couple of years ago. :)

    Clooney mimes not sings :D

It's actually sung by Dan Tyminski and is not only on the soundtrack album but also on Alison Krauss + Union Station Live as DT is part of Union Station and Alison Krauss also sings a couple of O Brother songs too.

The 'O Brother' R2 DVD has a great documentary/concert of the material used in the movie.

It started a huge revival of American Bluegrass music in the states. Personally I HATE Country & Western music but I loved the Soundtrack to this movie.

In face you've prompted me to dig it off my HD and listen to it...

Well worth buying in my oppinion.

Funny really then that 'hardcore' bluegrass people hate the film, the soundtrack, Clooney, and anything else connected with this film. Do they listen just to be different? Is it no fun if other people share their interest? They're just like hip-hop fans, except mostly white!
