Is this a re-print?
Don't suppose this one's going to have a lossless track like the US blu is it?
So against buying anything on blu with a DD 5.1 track as primary audio
Ah, £18 on zavvi and hmv is much healthier than amazon's £25..
The others in this wave from ITV have inside art too, so here's hope this one does now. No DVDs are included and there's no title on the front either, so it's not an exact reprint either way.
I agree it isn't an exact re-print without the title on the front.
The picture on the front looks sharper for this one imo and they scaled it slightly differently.
All things considered and even if this one gets inside artwork, it still isn't the steelbook i was hoping for this excellent movie.
I'll see if it stays long enough for a price drop and might grab it as i don't have a steelbook for this yet.
it isn't amazing, no. But i would like a steelbook copy of this now it's in my head. The US one is quite decent too, alas no inside art there either though.. If I could guarantee the ones in stock on amazon.ca where the first pressings with inside art I'd probably go for that at £21 delivered, but i doubt they will be
I've read some folk in France ordering the Canadian release which was the original release.
He got it with dents though (not surprised as Amazon.ca tend to use the standard cardboard envelope without protection)
Looking at the release date on Amazon.ca, looks like 2013 release so should be the first pressing.
Edit: You mean there are US/CA releases with and without inside art?
Yeah the initial CA release from amazon/hmv 2011 had inside art, the 2013 wave from the US that was shared with amazon CA had no inside art. It seemed pretty common back then with a WB wave from futureshop from what i can tell. The original 1989 batman was the same for example.
Full art pic added to OP.
Nice that it has inside art and better rear art this time, shame its zero finish rather than gloss though..
I've bought the Canadian version since so I'll be passing on this now.
Also looks like it has the dvds again with that disc lever? Which probably points towards no new blu with lossless, another point in favour of the US version.
There are so many movies that i have given up waiting for a proper steelbook...
Not a fan of the futureshop one? I think it's quite classic, considering the age and it being WB.
The Futurshop is decent but i would like a European release without having to change discs and with a proper treatment on the steelbook. They have machines that can bend metal in all shapes and they keep giving us flat cakes.
I know it won't happen hence why i have given up waiting.
Edit: Plus, the empty fronts without title are p***....
The UK steelbook I own with the DVDs and art cards looks fine on the outside but the inside has no artwork at all and looks (I think) really bland. Does this new release have internal art?
Ah, sorry, missed those smaller case screenshots. So, yes, it does. I will sell the current one and pick this one up instead.
