I`ve just bought a pair of diamond 9.1`s which are being used as fronts ,just wondered if it would be best to buy another pair for rears or could i try a different speaker.

Also will these sound better after they are run in,how long does it take to run in a set of speakers on average and what does it do when they are run in ?

I guess it's nice to run the same all round and if you can I'd say do it, but it's by no means compulsory.

Makers suggest different running in periods and I've seen anything from 30 to 200 hours mentioned for running in.
It just means they are performing as they should, once run in. Stiff cones etc may not be giving of their best from brand new.
But the differences are extremely subtle, ie don't expect any great differences.
