Saw this on some money program at lunch time today... THE RED RAT would be great to be able to control all my av gear from the laptop:)

Anyone used this piece of kit before?

Never used one of them but I do have a USB-UIRT from: www.usbuirt.com . they are universal receivers/transmitters, cost about £45 delivered from the states, work faultlessly and can be used with Girder to control pretty much anything with an IR zapper.

If you're getting it ask them to put something like gift on the lable, that way you can avoid royal mail's ridiculous £13 customs fee/theft

Sending this item to Ireland would be regared as an international order, so I have to order from the US site rather than the UK site and so face customs/duty and vat...

They have a guy in the UK who can send to the UK including NI from what I can gather. Pity they wont put an extra couple of quid on for sending to Ireland.

    Bit disappointed
