    Ok. I've been umming and ahhing of doing this thread for some time. It might be a flop.

    Some youtube channels i follow allow you to send in images and they then edit them. Often have 2 people editing the same images and it's great to see the final results - often totally different images.

    I really like editing pictures, however i can't always get the shots i want (mainly due location and conditions but also finding that free time). So this could vary from model shoots, to landscapes to night shots. For example I love the nightshots people do, just never had time to go phsycially do it, but it would be great to do the PP on the image, which would help when i come to take these shots.

    Also i love to see different peoples take on different images and how they are edited. Also you might be new(ish) to lightroom like me and may not have the vision of the final image or the skills to get the image to that state.

    So thought i'd start this thread where we can upload our own RAW's and people can edit and post their final result. Due to file types and sizes it will have to be something like dropbox for the RAW's

    So anyone have an images that they want to share? I'll dig out a couple in the next few days.

    MOD: feel free to move this to the photo share if you'd prefer - wasn't really sure if it fell into this one or the share thread.

    Thought i'd share this RAW with you all.
    Dropbox - P1030660.RW2.zip

    Here's my version of the image.

    [IMG]P1030660-Edit-2 by mark godley, on Flickr

    What i did:
    Adjusted exposure and overall feel of the image- way too green.
    Also he has a bit of eczema, so reduced the redness in the face (well tried i am colour blind on white-pinks-reds).
    Touch of sharpness
    Add a little blur to the bottom.
    Touch of vignette.

    Interested to see other versions of it.

    Thought I'd go for different style editing rather than trying something similar to that already done ;)

    I do like the B+W band photo :) I have to resist making them all B+W and try to enjoy the colour.. but it definitely hones in on his face

    Thanks, I added a radial filter too to accentuate him more.

    Love your versions of Dan's, radial filter works well.

    Also i like the ones of my RAW. Can i ask how you edited my sons face? I did it in photoshop using the high and low pass, but hoping there was an easier way in lightroom.

    I don't find the orangey face and saturated eyes too flattering, good photo though ;) hah

    Yeah the face looks way more orange on here for some reason, I shall revisit it ;) I have been struggling with the skin tones though. Must be these crappy Leicas ;) :p

    Here's another attempt, really struggling with the skin. Either looks tangoed or like a corpse :laugh: Desaturated the iris too ;)

    Well I do like my photos to look as natural as possible ;)

    Have you seen the RAW? Dan's done a mighty fine job with the original edit ;)

    Spent some time with this tonight. Haven't done any photo editing in a long time, had forgotten how much fun it was. Great capture by the way!

    He's got a cracking smile Mark :) How about a landscape crop, also done black and white as Photoshop (a bad workman always blames his tools right!) didn't do as good a job with the cloning as I would have liked and B/W hides it a bit better me thinks

    It's pointless me trying to change colours as I haven't a calibrated monitor but the 1st thing I would do is tidy up her finger nails, assuming of course you're trying for a 'model' stylie shot, also the knuckle graze and a couple of imperfections on her face.

    Personally I think both work as is, a crop of just the head also works imho :)

    Like 'em both though :thumbsup:

    @snerkler - Awesome will have a play :)

    Just noticed your comments about where the picture was taken. Gavin Hoey is one of my favourite guys to watch on youtube, hope he came across as well in person as he does on the videos.

    Thanks for pointing out the hand, overlooked that. What have you spotted on the face?

    I'll look properly as only on the phone at the mo, but looks good. Can't see much difference from mine on the phone tbh but looks like you may have PP'd the hand which I forgot :facepalm: I did tidy the hair at the back though ;)

    I think i:
    * increased overall clarity
    * decreased clarity and sharpness of background
    * face and neck and chest decreased clarity and sharpness a tad - same on hand and arm
    * sharpened the eyes
    * softened the lips
    * Whitened the eyes and teeth
    * Removed the few strands of hair from the top of her head
    * increased whites
    * softened around the eyes (the eye shadow or whatever it was)

    think that was it

    Ah missed the hair at the back! Good spot!
