I asked about this film a year ago, but no one knew when/if it's due on DVD.
It's the one with D. Sutherland and team that kill all the nasty neck hugging alien parasites that threaten the world, again.
    ;)
I really enjoyed that film. The IMDB doesn't have any info, so I'm calling all Sci Fi Nutters to tell me all that you know. :D
    Cheers.

I think you are out of luck, for the time being. I've been looking for the disc a long time, before I even got my DVD player, nearly a year ago, and haven't come across it yet.
I've seen the video in HMV, but like me I guess you want it on disc, and widesceen etc.

    P.S. Good taste, Good film.

    Garrett,

Just seen it on Play due out in a couple of months or so, R1.
But no DD! Bet you in 6 months it'll get the treatment to wring a few more pounds out of us.

    Hi General Skanky

Sort of good news, I have it on tape and I will check the sound out on it. Nice price though.

    Thank for remembering.

I would recommend the book as well.
It is by Robert Heinlein (same as Starship Troopers)

Read it, slightly different era than the film.

DVD Concept. How reliable are their facts normally? Because if it is DD then that's great news.

Good sound and pic are my main priorities. However, this is one film where I'd also like to see a behind the scenes doc and bloopers etc. Normally I'm not bothered.

I always remember how quickly it kicked off and got stuck in. I really enjoyed it.

I don’t know as I have never used them before, but I see no special features. Is this the reason the film is so cheap.
Still have not looked at the end credits? And it will depend where I taped it from as terrestrial tend to cut the credits. I will go and look now and get back round lunch time.
A thought ‘Long Kiss Goodnight’ and ‘Deep Rising’ have been available for £9.99 for ages and they are Pro-Logic.

I looked it up and at the end of the film it states Dolby Stereo Digital.

Have you seen Quatermass II, I know its an old film and B&W, but I still think its quite good.

I just watched the R1 DVD of Swordfish excellent film, but when I saw Vinnie Jones my heart sunk, it kind of spoilt it a little.

I had visions of vinnie threatening the director to let him have a talking role which accounts for the 3 times he actually says something - but somehow I don't think it works.

Not too sure why I felt that way.

Yup, seen the Quartermass films on TV. Good fun Chumley Warner stuff.:)

But Puppet Masters always stuck in my mind as I rented one days, eons ago on video for a Sunday afternoon, gambling on it, telling the wife it'd be good, but hadn't heard of it before. And it was enjoyable. Thankfully.
Plus I like the lady in it. And why not?:D

Of the two I prefer Don Seigel’s 1956 original, with Kevin McCarthy and Dana Wynter.

It's been out for ages on both R1 and R2. You can pick up the R2 for well under a tenner now.

I even liked the Abel Ferrara TV movie remake. I personally feel you just can't go wrong with bodysnatcher movies, although the original Kevin McCarthy one's definitely my favourite.

Play have Reg 2 out at £8.99, for the Donald Sutherland version. I also see the Kevin McCarthy is also available if full W/S this is the one I would go for.
