I'm sure the postman doesn't like me any more...
Me thinks the neighbours may well join him
Has sir received something from the cylindrical family?
Oh! suit you sir.
Does she like it sir?
How did you get hold of one of those in the UK - or are you the new and improved owner?
I guess the postie gave up on the letterbox...
Ha! Wait till you unpack it, you might hate him even more! 'Do Not Drop!' that's like a red rag to a bull for a parcelforce employee!
I bought a load of gear from this guy on ebay, you would not believe how well packaged they were! 4 hours he spent doing it. Covered ther boxes in 'fragile' and 'do not drop' stickers. The result:
1x mid/bass driver magnet snapped off its mountings
1x smashed plug on AV reciever
1x smashed AV reciever remote
The magnet was the most impressive as these are not exactly loosely attached. Grrr!!!
I work from home (atm) so there's me thinking I'd get all day tomorrow to play with it
Oh. no, the GF is at home preparing for an interview
Let's see what's inside...
Full of bricks!
Is black slimming?
Arghh why is your AV reciever balanced on its side!!
Probably doesn't make the slightest difference to the sound but it's upsetting me none the less!
It won't fit under the TV any more - I put the centre there so I could let more light into the room
I detect a slight flaw in your current positioning.
Cmon then tell us what you think of the velvet phallus.
There's no kettle lead and I'm working. It'll have to wait until Sunday...
or maybe tonight
It's also too big (diameter) to go where I had intended to put it.
Thats the biggst flipping sub I've ever seen. Can you post the spec and price of it so that I can be further astounded?
Also, about your reciever be careful as althouth technically they havnt got any moving parts and therefore shouldnt suffer if mounted on the side, they are designed to radiate heat properly when placed flat. Putting it on it's side may cause it or components within it to overheat.
Good luck with your sub. I'd hate to be a neighbour, no, scratch that, live within 1/2 mile of you.
Nick one off the computer.
To the right of tv move the plants it should sound great there.
You see I knew I should have bought it, I have a whole bag full of kettle leads.
Why don't you lay it on its side....by the sofa and rest your feet on it....
i want one of those! but in white lol
yep post the specs etc.
iv heard of the svs subs from on here but never bothered to look at what they look like. and er f*** me where would u hide that!
i want one! just gota think where i could hide it.
mind you the size of im sure if i put it in my garage at top of garden and crank it up ill still feel the benefits
im now off to sulk at the farting noise my kef sub makes that they say is bass
I knew it was 16" diameter but... it won't fit behind the sofa that's for sure!
It'll either have to go besides the sofa (who need floor lamps anyway?) or just behind the TV to the left.
320 watt RMS BASH amplifier
25 Hz extension quasi-anechoic
+/- 3 dB 25 Hz-100 Hz
32.5" tall, 16" in diameter
and about 26kg
p.s. The receiver is positioned so the (what's the word, the big magnet thing?, coil?) is at the top. There are some ventilation slots. The air from the sub will keep it cool
Has the better half seen it yet .
ahem... no. Maybe I can hide it behind the 2 dragon plants?
Kettle lead- I have 5 old CRT monitors upstairs.. doh!
Can you see what it is yet?
Tested it with the fight scene from Matrix. Thought hmm, sounds much the same as normal... Checked the back and I forgot to turn it on
So turn it and set it to 5. Watched the same scene again!
where's the "fudge me" smiley?!!
The whole street are gonna hate me not just the neighbours
EVER HEARD OF ASBOs?....enjoy
Good god makes my 909w look like a toilet brush. Have to say I have NEVER seen one so big!!! Maybe I could borrow to impress the girlfriend????
Any more details on these bad boys, such as the prices in the Cylinderical range, and where to get them from?
That's the runt of the family as it's only 31" tall.
Mine is the same diameter but an extra 8" taller and that is dwarfed by Nimby's which is 46" tall
Only available secondhand now svs just sell the box variety in europe.
@Cannondale: if a few people were interested I have a friend in the USA who might be able to organize something. Wouldn't necessarily be "cheap" but you'd have one
Hope you enjoy the Sub, I'm sure you'll never look back and certainly stopped my Upgraditus.
How the hell have you managed to get it so near to your TV without it turing the picture into a Huge Magnet induced Rainbow. Mine had to be at least 2m away to stop the it buggering it up
Dig out all your old films, sit back and enjoy
Seems to be no signs of a rainbow
It has passed the GF test "oh the cat might sit on it & look out the window.."
Sounds great. Watched "Kiss of the Dragon" Jet Li- not the best film but you feel those kicks & punches
