Hell Yes. Just got back from seeing this film for the 2nd time. So happy this is getting a steelbook, amazing film.

This was one i was so hoping for, very happy and a definite order!:cool:

Providing the film is also good i hope they do Only God Forgives too.

Double Play as well, are those rare things making a comeback?!

DAY ONE. Saw this on Saturday (finally) and loved it (as expected). Will be one to come back to again and again I feel. Has potential to become a classic in decades time. Really glad it's getting a steelbook, and double play too. Day. One.

Absolutely, that opening shot was so classy. I also didn't have a problem with the third act as many seem to. Are you looking forward to 'Only God Forgives'?

Of course! But in a different way - yes both films feature Gosling but Refn and Cianfrance couldn't be more different (just watch Blue Valentine followed by Valhalla Rising). Only God Forgives looks to be nihilistic ultraviolence - from the recent trailers I got a Clockwork Orange vibe, plus a touch of Japanese (Kitano), Korean (Chan-wook) or Hong-Kong (Lau) gangster/thriller films, and some more Gaspar Noe influence. But I love what Refn's doing with the whole heightened-reality modern day fairytale thing. I hope he makes a trilogy, with Gosling in a different role each time.

Agree with the above comments, this was a very good movie. Without spoiling it for others, it took a very different turn than I thought it would have. The trailer for Only God Forgives looks amazing, very Drive-like with the soundtrack and the violence. There's still no UK release date for it, which is disappointing.

Well my local cinemas in Telford and Shrewsbury arent even showing this?! Off to Wolverhampton to see it tomorrow so will no doubt pick this up :smashin:

After a while, we realize that “Pines” is supposed to be about turbulent male relationships through the generations—what fathers and sons give to one another and withhold from one another.

Fingers cross I will be able to pick one up at work :D

I might be able to get one too...not from where I work but from where a relative works. She got my brother a damn nice wall length (actually I think its longer than any normal wall!) Prometheus cover  which he likes showing off!
