Just wanted to say that I'm well into the album remasters. Particularly 'Behaviour' What a totally underrated band, and up there with Morrisey/Marr and McCartney/Lennon as a British pop duo.

I strongly recommend that you purchase 'Behaviour', 'Very' and 'Actually' asap.

They have made some great albums, but to me only the earlier albums were brilliant.
I bought (and still have their first albums on vinyl):

    Please
    Disco
    Actually
    Introspective
    Behaviour

The albums after 'Behaviour' was the last album I bought of theirs for a few years, but did buy 'Release' which was released not that long back. Great album and back to the sound of their earlier albums.

I have about 15 12" singles aswell. They did some excellent remixes.

I have also very recently got Please and Actually on cd, and they both have an extra disc with b sides and remixes which is good.
I already have most of the b sides but not the remixes, so it was worth the purchase.

Heard a lot of PSB at a mate's house a few weeks back and can't get them out of my head ever since. I went out and bought the PopArt video collection and have played it a lot. Excellent music and some very creative videos.

'Being Boring' just takes me right back to my late '80s yoof

I might just explore some more of those early album remasters :)

I reckon Behaviour is totally awesome, esp 'Being Boring' and 'This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave' . Just, like totally immense.

I've got "Very" on tape somewhere and it's pretty good. They're certainly a talented pair although not so much my thing these days. :)

I still obsess over Pet Shop Boys, even though their albums have generally lacked inspiration since Very (Bilingual, Nightlife and Release all had their moments - Disco 3's good though). But they've been pretty prolific over the years, they still churn out quality B sides and mixes. And live they always attempt something different. One absolutely essential PSB purchase is the Performance DVD, I would recommend that to anyone - great visuals and sound, combined with a fantastic setlist from the pinnacle of their powers.

And Behaviour is their best album I'd say, recommended as a good introduction for naysayers who may think PSB are all gay cheesiness.

Let the music do the talking. I don't see them as being a 'gay band'. I see them as musical genious. Go get some Village People if you want Gay cheese.

I should get these, my dad has them on vinyl and CD and I used to like em when I was younger. Not eclectic at all, Pet Shop Boys sitting next to Pantera and Public Enemy on my shelves :)
